/ persian love oats
A warming, grounding breakfast to nourish your hormones, blood sugar, and soul.
Oats are a beautiful way to begin your day — gentle on digestion, rich in fibre, and deeply satisfying. Their beta-glucans help stabilise blood glucose by slowing the absorption of sugars, making them ideal for sustained energy, balanced moods, and nervous system support.
Once all the components are prepped (especially the chia jam!), your Persian Love Oats come together in minutes. I always recommend batch-prepping your jam and prepping your toppings ahead of time, so nourishing yourself becomes a convenient daily ritual.
INGREDIENTS
Porriage
½ cup rolled oats
1 cup milk of choice* (I love Bonsoy or Pure Harvest almond milk)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp crushed flax seeds
Chia Jam
RECIPE
1. Porriage
Simmer oats, milk, cinnamon, and ground flax on the stovetop until creamy. Add a splash more milk at the end for extra creamy oats.
2. Chia Jam
Cook berries over medium heat until they start to break down. Stir in chia seeds, lemon juice, and maple. Simmer for a few minutes, then remove from heat and let it thicken as it cools.
3. Assemble
Layer, swirl, and top your oats however you like — A few dallops of chia jam, sprinkled with your choice of pepitas, crushed pistachios, and pommegrannete.
